Eric Schaal grew up in Strasbourg, France, born into a family where artistry and refinement were a way of life. His grandmother sang at the Paris Opera before the war, and his ancestors built one of France’s great chocolate houses, still in existence today.
From this lineage of creation and delight, Schaal inherited a reverence for beauty both as ornament and means of expression, spending his boyhood days drawing in his sketchbook near the edges of the Ill River.

He later returned to Strasbourg, crafting exquisite pieces for his family, before spending nearly two decades in Geneva shaping his vision at some of the world’s most prestigious maisons, including Graff, Boucheron, de Grisogono, and Adler.
Throughout this journey, Schaal honed a language of precision and poetry, guided by balance, proportion, and an unwavering commitment to detail. Now, with his own house, Schaal, he returns to the essence of his art. Inspired by the rhythms of nature, literature, and philosophy, his pieces are conceived as modern talismans: intimate, enduring, and alive with emotion. Each work is a reflection of his belief in timelessness over trend, brought to life by a sense of mastery informed by the utmost respect for materials.
